Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has said Turkey will take steps at international institutions for necessary measures against Israel’s what he said “aggressive position” as it continued to pound bombs on Gaza for a second day.

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has said Turkey will take steps at international institutions to see necessary measures taken against what he called Israel's “aggressive position” as it continued to pound Gaza with bombs for a second day.

Davutoğlu told reporters in Djibouti, where he traveled to attend the foreign ministers meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), that Israel had once again displayed its aggressiveness by attacking Gaza Wednesday night.

He added that Turkey will make efforts at both the OIC and other international institutions to condemn Israel's actions and to push for necessary measures against Tel Aviv's aggressive position on Gaza.

Israel exchanged the fiercest fire with Hamas in years after assassinating its military mastermind and threatening a wider offensive in the Gaza Strip to stem Palestinian rocket salvoes.

Launched on Wednesday during a deceptive lull in almost a week of surging cross-border violence, Israel's air assault had an intensity recalling the outset of the 2008-2009 Gaza war though this time the Palestinian death toll of 13 was far lower.

Hamas, reeling at the strategic loss of top commander Ahmed Al-Jaabari in a devastating strike on his car, resumed rocket attacks against the Jewish state's desert south.

Noting that the region is going through a critical period and that the most fundamental problem of the region is the Palestinian issue, Davutoğlu said Israel's occupation policy of establishing settlements in the West Bank and its aggressive position are making the already critical situation in the region even more urgent.

Davutoğlu said that he had talks with Hamas Political Bureau Chief Khaled Meshaal, as well as authorities in Gaza and Egypt, adding that Turkey will continue its efforts to make the international community take a more active role in this crisis.

The Turkish foreign minister also urged the UN Security Council to take action and to include regional countries in talks as affected nations.

Let's unite sunnis and shias and build couple A bombs and supply one to Hamas. This will be only deterrent agains Israel. Palestinians with this have nothing to loose. Also, we have to get rid of Saudi family, because Saudi Arabia is SISTER of Israel. Obth of them have the same father and mother (UK...

I think that anyone can symphatise with Israel. No country in the world accept being hit by more than 5000 rockets and the event yesterday when a random rocket killed random civilians (including a pregnant woman) simply shows what Hamas is - a terror organisation.

O-o-o God, here goes again, the same old song with daily fresh voice orchestrated by AKP's first leaders. Question: Does AKP keeps files recorded on how many times they said that on different issues, for the past 12 months for example, just wondering.
what did you just said!
Shame on Turkey and the Arabs. They look weak and pathetic. What Turkey and the Arabs "should" be doing is giving the USA an ultimatum; (1) Either the West forces Israel to halt its baby killing or (2) "Every Arab nation and Turkey" closes down every single US and Western Military base and installat...

I heard that " Turkish / Israeli Foreign Minister Davutoğlu / Liberman has said Turkey / Israel will take steps at international institutions to see necessary measures taken against what he called Israel's / Turkish aggressive position / as it continued to pound Gaza Kurdistan with bombs ".

The world supports the Turkish position - jets bombing civilians is self-explainatory on HDTV's and in pictures. The suffering is real; these are not 'military' targets - Israel will be found criminally responsible before a court of law.

Bring it on Turkey, you will see how Israel responds and you will be very sorry for it.

How about stop attacking Gaza for restoring some relationships?

Mr Davutoglu forgot to mention anything regarding Turkey's occupation policy in Northern Cyprus, where he establishes settlements and brings Anatolian settlers, in order to change demographic proportion. His memory is obviously a selective one.

"Ahmet Davutoğlu has said Turkey will take steps at international institutions for necessary measures against Israel" - and yes, he will NEVER take any steps against the rocket fire of Hamas, Hizbullah and other Muslim terrorist organizations in the Middle East. He will shed tears for Palestinian ba...

Don't forget: Turkey has killed more Kurdish people (who were not involved in any violence) this year than Israel killed terrorists in Gaza...

May I correct your respected newspaper. Mr Jabari who was killed yesterday was a mastermind in terrorism as opposed to a Military mastermind.

The hypocrisy of Turkey's Islamist government is stunning, though by now not really surprising. The Turkish army is killing its own Kurdish citizens in the thousands for years now, carries regular bombardments in Iraq, and is engaged in fueling the civil war in Syria, all the while keeping close rel...

Cry baby cry. One rocket from Syria on Turkey's ground and he WANTS OUR help, our NATO! And thousands rıockets and shells from Gaza in Israel and Israel is the aggressor. Who are here the fascists Mr. Davotuglu. Nobody in the NAVO have sympathy left for your sick making double standards. The voices...

And shouldn't Turkey take measures with international institutions over ITS bombardment into Syrian territory? It hasn't been proven that Syria deliberately attacked Turkish territory; but it is without any reasonable doubt that Hamas has deliberately sent hundreds of "rockets", deliberately intende...
